About Us

Protecting Health. Advancing Knowledge. Reducing Harm.

We are a Community Interest Company (CIC) dedicated to protecting and improving public health through specialist support, education, harm reduction, and research relating to image- and performance-enhancing drugs (IPEDs).

Our Mission

To protect and preserve public health and relieve physical and mental distress among individuals using or affected by image- and performance-enhancing drugs and substances.

We aim to achieve this through four core areas of activity.

Why we started

Accessible information.
Specialist support.

Our Commitment to Public Health

Our work focuses on the physical and mental health challenges associated with substances including anabolic steroids, peptides, and emerging performance-enhancing compounds.

We recognise the growing need for accessible, evidence-based information and specialist support for individuals who use IPEDs, those affected by their use, and the professionals working with them.

Our approach is rooted in public health, scientific evidence, confidentiality, and non-judgemental engagement.

We aim to reduce preventable harm, improve access to healthcare, advance professional understanding, and contribute to research that informs public health practice and policy.

We believe that everyone deserves access to accurate health information, appropriate healthcare, and respectful, non-judgemental support.

Our organisation is committed to:

Collaboration & Community Benefit

Working with healthcare services, researchers, professional organisations, and communities to achieve meaningful public benefit.

Our educational work does not promote or encourage substance use or replace individual medical advice. Harm reduction does not mean that substance use can be made risk-free.

Our focus

Four areas, one mission.

Community Health & Clinical Support

Improving access to healthcare and specialist support.

We aim to develop a dedicated community health hub providing a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental environment for individuals seeking information, health advice, and support relating to IPED use.

Activities & objectives

Our planned activities include:

  • Confidential health advice and specialist guidance.
  • Appropriate health screening and physiological monitoring.
  • Support for physical and psychological wellbeing.
  • Early identification of potential health concerns.
  • Harm-reduction education and preventative healthcare.
  • Signposting and referral to NHS services and other appropriate healthcare providers.

Our objective is to improve access to appropriate healthcare, reduce preventable health complications, and support better long-term health outcomes.

Digital Health Information & Support

Making reliable information accessible to everyone.

We aim to develop digital platforms and educational resources that improve public understanding of IPEDs and their potential health implications.

Activities & objectives

Our work will include:

  • Evidence-based information about anabolic steroids, peptides, and emerging substances.
  • Public health updates on changing substance-use trends.
  • Information about potential physical and psychological health consequences.
  • Digital education and harm-reduction resources.
  • Online support networks and community engagement.
  • Guidance on accessing appropriate healthcare services.

Our objective is to address misinformation, improve health literacy, and ensure individuals and professionals have access to accurate and independent information.

Research & Public Health Evidence

Improving understanding through research and collaboration.

We aim to conduct, commission, support, and publish research examining the use, health impacts, and evolving trends associated with IPEDs.

Activities & objectives

Our research priorities include:

  • The physical and psychological impacts of IPED use.
  • Emerging peptides and performance-enhancing substances.
  • Patterns of use and changing public health trends.
  • Barriers to accessing healthcare and support.
  • Harm-reduction approaches and preventative interventions.
  • Evidence-based recommendations for healthcare practice and public health policy.

We seek to collaborate with universities, healthcare providers, researchers, and public health organisations to strengthen the evidence base and support effective public health responses.

Our objective is to contribute to scientific understanding, inform professional practice, and improve health outcomes.

Our Vision

A society in which individuals affected by image- and performance-enhancing drug use can access appropriate healthcare, reliable information, and non-judgemental support, while professionals and public health organisations have the evidence and knowledge needed to respond effectively.

Through education, research, community engagement, and accessible health services, we aim to improve public health outcomes and reduce the harms associated with IPED use.

We currently operate as a Community Interest Company (CIC), established to deliver activities for the benefit of the community.

We are pursuing charitable status to support the development and expansion of our public health, education, research, and community support activities.

Our work is focused on delivering measurable public benefit through improved health awareness, access to support, professional education, and scientific research
