Gary Carroll spent over fourteen years in policing, much of it working on drug-related crime, and trained as a Controlled Drug Liaison Officer and qualified police supervisor. Since 2016 he has worked as a full-time expert witness in the Midlands, and he practises through Claymore Advisory Group.
His expert work covers drug valuation and supply-chain analysis, county lines and organised crime groups, encrypted network investigations, urban street gangs, and proceeds of crime. He specialises in medicinal cannabis and has advised UK companies operating in that sector.
Gary also delivers bespoke drug-related training across policing, the pharmaceutical industry, universities and UK Border Force — more than 500 police officers, 100 PCSOs and dozens of trainee expert witnesses over the past decade.
