Dr Luke Cox is a Lecturer in Sport Integrity at Swansea University, working in sport and exercise sciences. His research focuses on image and performance-enhancing drugs, harm reduction, and the ethical questions raised by anti-doping policy.
His doctoral research at Swansea examined doping in recreational Welsh rugby, exploring motivations for use, body image, perceptions of risk, and responses to anti-doping policy. His work considers how public health and harm-reduction approaches can better support recreational athletes and gym users. Works with private and public organisations in harm reduction and research.
